Ryan Guettler Bike Check

“Just built up a new bike with the help of Heleinsvale Bike Shop. Flick Trix has been asking for a new bike, so knowing it’s going to be a toy for kids I wanted to do something different, and this is what I came up with. Not sure how long it’s going to be around because I’m not the biggest fan of white bikes, but afterwards it will go on the wall for sure.” -Ryan Guettler

Modifications/Other/Extras:
My hub guard is free spinning, so I never have to rotate it. I like when my pegs are ground in.

Which parts do you go through the most?
The parts I go through the most would be wheels, chains, and pedals.

Describe your bike setup and how you like your bike to feel…
I hate having a super light bike…feels too hard to get pump, too drifty, easy to over hop something, so I keep some weight on it so I don’t break it as much and don’t have to worry about dying. I like my bike to be a little shorter, so on days when I’m tired it’s not so much effort.

What part are you most particular about or do you feel makes the biggest difference on your bike?
To me, handlebars and frame make up the most difference. Having something your psyched to ride makes life way easier.

Do you remember your first “real” BMX bike?
Hell yeah, it was a GT Vertigo my dad bought me from a flee market for $50. It had mags and Black Widow cranks.
